DRIVER'S LICENSES / REGISTRATION
First-time drivers must be atleast 17 years old to apply for a personal driving's license, and must pass a written test, driving test and vision exam.
New residents to Louisiana must obtain a LA driver's license, register their vehicle and obtain a LA license plate within 30 days of establishing residency. Drivers with valid out-of-state licenses need only pass the vision exam.
The fee for a Class E Drivers license is approx. $24.50 and may vary according to parish. Fees for driver's license are CASH only.

VOTER REGISTRATION
- To register to vote you must be:
- A citizen of the United States.
- At lease 17 years old prior to the next election.
- Not under a judgment of interdiction where your right to vote has been suspended.
- Not under an order of imprisonment for conviction of a felony.
- Reside in the state and county/parish you want to vote in.
You may apply at any of the following State offices: Registrar of Voters, Motor Vehicle, Social Services, WIC, Food Stamp, Medicaid, Offices serving persons with disabilities, Armed Forces Recruitment centers or by mail. You must be registered at least 30 days prior to be eligible to vote in the next election.
