Mardi Gras Season '09
Mardi Gras spans a carnival season, not just
"Fat Tuesday." In the weeks leading up to
Fat Tuesday, dozens of Mardi Gras krewes
participate in parades along the coast. Most
of these parades occur on the weekends with
krewes throwing beads, doubloons, stuffed
toys, candy, and many other "throws" to the
crowds lining the parade routes. Celebrate
Mardi Gras along the MS Gulf Coast up thru
the evening of Feb 24th. For a complete listing
of '09 Mardi Gras events, contact the MS Gulf
Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau,
