Vehicle owners must obtain a MS license plate
(tag) within 30 days of purchasing a vehicle or
moving to the state. Tags are renewed annually
with the cost based on the assessed value of

INSPECTION STICKERS
Mississippi residents are required to pass
annual motor vehicle safety inspections. The
cost is $5.00, good for one year. Most service
garages and full-service gas stations can

VOTER REGISTRATION
To register to vote in Mississippi you
must be:
A US citizen
A resident of Mississippi, county and supervisor's
district for 30 days
At least 18 years old by the time of
the election
Never convicted of a felony
Not under a judgment of mental incompetence
