WXXV Fox 25, in conjunction with the
Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce
- which includes the Biloxi, Gulfport, Long
Beach and Pass Christian Chambers, offer
a community awareness program known as
Support South Mississippi Schools.
Throughout the year, public high schools in
our community are featured in 30 second
vignettes, highlighting programs of interest
offered in each school district. This program
allows the public to visualize the excitement
of the high school curriculum, as well as
to promote the volunteer opportunity in the
schools for interested adults. Adult mentors
offer immeasurable benefits to our high
school
students, and this program is
designed to
encourage members of our
community to
become involved with their
local schools.
WXXV generously contributes the entire cost
of this model program, and Coast Chamber
members serve as the mentors in these
vignettes.
